Our owner, Genesis has a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and a B.A. in Applied Psychology. She has over a decade of experience researching health and social disparities, and providing behavioral counseling to people of all backgrounds.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Genesis observed the increase in canine companions being welcomed into homes, coupled with the increase in canine behavioral issues due to socialization and environmental limitations. This issue refocused her career goals and passion for behavioral modification onto our beloved furry family members.

Always passionate about dogs, and having cared for many of them throughout her life, she began caring for them professionally to acquire a deeper understanding of their needs and their owners’ desired expectations. After two years of professional services, Genesis and her husband founded Zoomies K9 Care, LLC to provide quality care that focuses on mental enrichment along with physical activity.

In our busy and ever-changing lives, families find themselves with little time to concentrate on their dog’s development. However, dogs are highly intelligent and enjoy learning and discovering new ways to interact with their environment. A lack of proper stimulation and isolation can lead to behavioral difficulties such as anxiety and reactivity. Genesis emphasizes patience when it comes to canine care to properly assess and help your dog with targeted approaches to improve their behavior and overall well-being.

With a focus on evidence-based practices, positive reinforcement, and force-free training, Genesis’ goal is to provide your dog with the best care possible to help them live a happy and fulfilled existence alongside their human companions.
